Another milestone reached. Lydia pulled up to a standing position yesterday! Wow. She pulled up on Grandma Becky’s couch trying to get the remote. She loves electronics. She’ll be walking soon, I’m sure.

Today we went to Gainesville to visit Sylvia, my sis. Lydia and I went with Papi (my dad). Lydia slept all the way there and most of the trip back, so that made the trip super easy. (yay) Syl made a delicious lunch for us, and Lydia got to play with Diego the dog and try to chase Tico the cat. We had a nice visit.

Lydia had her first real swim in a big pool today! We went to John and Kadi’s neighborhood pool. Clay, Sage, and Grandma Becky were there, too. The pool experience was quite a mixed bag of emotions for little Lydia. In the end, she loved it. She loved splashing around. She was ready to go on her own. I’m sure it won’t be long before she’s swimming around like a tadpole.

Last night was Lydia’s firt sleep over. Clay and Sage (her cousins) spent the night with us at Grandma Becky’s. She had fun playing, taking a stroll, and reading books. One day she’ll be able to sleep in the living room with the rest of us, too.

Lydia and I had our first long car trip on Friday and it was super successful! We drove down to Jacksonville to visit family while Daddy makes a few business trips.

She was a superstar! She did wonderfully! We stopped a few times, she took 3 naps, and we made good time. A true success with no meltdowns. Yay!

Lydia loved looking at the animals at the pet store today. We saw all kinds of rodents, birds and fish. I’m sure this is just the first of many treks through the pet store to see all the little creatures.

Wait a minute… is this for me or my toys?

Lydia loves the boys. Claude tolerates her the most. He’ll let her pet him, even pull this hair and tail. First he looks to see who’s “petting” him before he reacts. And when it’s her, he just grins and bears (or kitties) it. What a sweet boy.

Lydia troubleshooting Daddy’s computer… After investigating the issue thoroughly, Lydia finds the problem… We need to zap the P-Ram.
